Damp Repair

It is recommended we carry out a thorough assessment before providing an estimate to accurately determine the source of the water ingress, the extent of the damage, and the correct method of repair required — which is why an estimate will differ from one vehicle to another.

Damp repair for caravans & motorhomes

Unfortunately, damp is a big problem in the caravan and motorhome industry!

It is recommended to have an annual habitation inspection where a full damp check will be carried out, and this will give you the first indication of any water ingress that may be occurring.

If caught early, the area with high readings could be treated with only having to reseal a specific area, such as a rooflight.

However, if damp is left for a prolonged period, it can result in a more extensive/costly repair. This would be likely to consist of a full strip down, removing all damp wallboards, floorboards, rotten timbers. Removing windows, rooflights, awning rails, mouldings. That is just to repair the damp, first we need to access the area, so furniture may need to be removed and appliances, maybe even an entire shower room. And then all refitted to factory standards. The hours of repair can quickly add up!

Don’t panic, we’re here to help!

We will guide you through the process, and work with you to get your vehicle back to how it should be.
